Award-winning actor Thembinkosi Mthembu, who portrays the character of King Dingiswayo on Shaka ILembe, has exited the Mzansi Magic drama series.

Fans of the popular series topped social media trends last Sunday when they dragged Sol Phenduka for predicting King Dingiswayo's departure.

The popular show previously had social media buzzing when they revealed the number of G-strings produced and worn on the show.

The multi-award-winning TV show also bid farewell to actor Thembinkosi Mthembu on its Instagram account on Sunday, 27 July.

"Tonight we bade farewell to our beloved character, King Dingiswayo, portrayed with extraordinary depth and dignity by @thembinkosi__mthembu.👑
